Massage
Massage is defined as the systematic manipulation of the various tissues of the body, moving specifically the muscles, tendons, and skin. Massage involves stroking, kneading and pressing the soft tissues of the body in order to induce a state of total relaxation.
AROMATHERAPY MASSAGE:
Aromatherapy massage combines the nurturing and relaxing powers of touch with another very powerful sense - the sense of smell.
During the massage, essential oils are applied to the skin and worked into the body using neuromuscular techniques that focus on the nervous system and the invisible channels of energy.
This massage loosens tight muscles, blocked tissues and may be either stimulating or calming, depending on the oils used and the needs of the individual.
This is ideal for those that want a purely relaxing and indulgent massage. Light to medium pressure is used, depending on the individual.
The types of Aroma massages offered include the Full body (60 mins) Back, neck & Shoulders (30 mins) BNS Face and head (45 mins) BNS Face head and feet (60 mins)

SWEDISH MASSAGE:
Conveying care and special attention to tired and strained muscles by moving the muscles in a way which models its own movements by contracting and expanding the muscle fibres. This, in itself, seems to have a much more reaching effect on the body/mind process, than is physically apparent and will provide the very necessary support to someone who may be suffering from any physical or emotional element.
The types of Swedish Massage offered, include the Back, neck and shoulder (30 mins) Full body (60 mins) The Deluxe Swedish massage includes Full body, face, head and feet. (90 mins)
Swedish massage is a more stimulating and deeper massage than the Aroma therapy massage with a medium to firm pressure used.
HUNA MASSAGE:
Huna massage is a combination of healing's traditions originating from Hawaii. The beauty of this massage is its unique rhythm and flow and is known as the Rolls Royce of massages.
The magic and power of this healing massage goes beyond what words are able to express.
While experiencing Huna body work, people are amazed by the energy they receive from these healing sessions. it's a lot more than a massage, it's an experience.
Huna body work differs from remedial massage as it not only works on a physical level but mentally and spiritually as well. This beautiful form of body work provides holistic approach to healing by balancing the body/mind in its physical, emotional and spiritual dimensions.
The other difference between Huna and remedial massage, is the way the therapist use their hands, forearms and elbows and moves around the table (using flowing hula and Tai chi style movements working with the energy whilst applying soft and deep tissue stimulation. Every time you have a Huna massage, you will experience something different.
This treatment may take up to 90 minutes, depending on the individual.
DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE:
Deep Tissue Massage is a massage technique that focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas. It is a combination of massage that gets to the deeper tissue structures of the muscle and fascia. It will loosen bonds between the layers of connective tissues. Deep tissue techniques are generally designed for more focused massage work.
Working a specific joint, muscle or muscle group, the practitioner can access deeper layers of the soft tissue. Starting superficially and easing into the depth of the muscle slowly often allows more movement. Deep tissue massage incorporates direct pressure to assess the muscles and work slowly into the deeper layers. Strokes may involve the heel of the hand, fingertips and thumbs, and may move in the direction of the muscle fiber or across the muscle fiber ...
The purpose Deep Tissue Massage is to "unstick" the fibers of a muscle, while releasing deeply-held patterns of tension, removing toxins, while relaxing and soothing the muscle. It is both corrective and therapeutic.
A deep-tissue massage helps loosen muscle tissues, release toxins from muscles and get blood and oxygen circulating properly. Because many toxins are released, it's important to drink plenty of water after a deep-tissue session to help eliminate these toxins from the body.
NOTE: ALL massage releases toxins into the blood stream that are normally stored in the muscles, so it is recommended that you drink plenty of water afterwards to flush them out!
